3 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers small forward Danny Green has been placed in the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, ruling him out for Thursday's contest against Atlanta. The timing couldn't be worse for Green, who logged 40 minutes in each of his last two games. The absence of the team's sharpshooter is likely to pave the way for Furkan Korkmaz to take on a larger offensive role, while Matisse Thybulle could see a few additional minutes funneled in his direction. As of late, Green has become nearly wholly dependent on the deep ball, with 44 of his last 48 shots over the past eight games coming from behind the arc. His next chance to return to action comes Sunday vs. the Wizards if he can clear the protocols in time.--Jesse Borek
