Dante Exum Departs Monday’s Contest Early Due To Injury
4 years agoCleveland Cavaliers point guard Dante Exum (leg) left Monday's game versus the Magic after just one minute played due to what has been deemed a calf strain and will not return. Exum has an extensive injury history, which when combined with the non-contact nature of what he sustained Monday, is not a positive sign in the short-term. He had already drawn his third start of the year, his most since 2016-17 as a member of the Jazz, although his role has changed since then. Still only 25 years old, the No. 5 overall pick in the '14 NBA Draft continues to be viewed with high upside, although the extent of his injury will likely decide when he can next take the floor. Check back for updates as they become available.
