3 years agoCleveland Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland accounted for a career-high 19 of the team's 30 assists during Friday's loss to the 76ers. Garland played a whopping 43 minutes, also pitching in 26 points on 10-for-22 shooting during an enormous usage outing. With Rajon Rondo (toe) and Caris LeVert (foot) sidelined for the time being, Garland has taken complete command of the point guard spot, capping off his epic performance with four rebounds and two steals for good measure. The first-time All-Star is on pace to set new career highs nearly across the board, with 20.7 points, 8.1 assists, and 3.3 boards per contest. He next faces a Toronto squad Sunday that he went for 21 and 22 points against, respectively, in two prior meetings this season.--Jesse Borek
