5 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery has emerged as the clear-cut, No. 1 running back in the Bears backfield heading into Week 4. After totaling only six carries in Week 1, the rookie has racked up 31 over the past two weeks. He is still waiting for a breakout performance, but his opportunities are on the rise. Montgomery will have a tough test at home this week against a Vikings Defense that is allowing the eighth fewest fantasy points to the position. Fellow rookie Josh Jacobs of the Raiders was held to only 44 yards against the Vikings last week, but Montgomery also can provide production in the passing game. The rookie's breakout game may not come in Week 4, but he should be in line for 15 to 20 touches.--Joey C - RotoBaller
