Davis Bertans Jumps Into Starting Five Monday
4 years agoWashington Wizards small/power forward Davis Bertans will make his first start of the season Monday against Chicago, taking the place of Deni Avdija. Head coach Scott Brooks cited a desire to get Bertans' offensive production going as the reason for the decision. Bertans has been persistent in attempting to get his three-point shot down since returning from the team's extended lay-off, but he has shot just 26.7 percent from deep over his last six games. The move into the starting lineup makes Bertans an exciting GPP option in DFS, although it's unclear if the promotion will come alongside an increased minutes allotment. Avdija has been a limited offensive contributor to kick-off his rookie year, with the move to the bench all but zapping him of much of his fantasy appeal.
