6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs swingman Davis Bertans made the start at small forward in Saturday's 125-105 loss at Utah with swingman Rudy Gay (ankle) in street clothes due to an ankle injury. Bertans logged 33 minutes of run, posting 11 points on 3-for-7 shooting, including 2-for-5 from behind the arc. Small forward Dante Cunningham was efficient off the bench, hitting 3-for-4 from the floor to end up with six points, three rebounds and two steals in just 17 minutes. Gay aggravated his nagging left ankle injury in Thursday's game, but was initially listed as probable for this one before being ruled out. It was likely more a rest, so the bump in fantasy value for Bertans is likely temporary.--Daniel Dobish
