4 years agoWashington Wizards small/power forward Davis Bertans (rest) will be held back for Saturday's contest versus the Suns due to rest purposes. It appears that the Wizards are not yet ready to deploy Bertans on both legs of a back-to-back after he returned from a calf ailment last week. Deni Avdija and Chandler Hutchison stand to see increased roles without Bertans in the mix, while all members of Washington's second unit could also see elevated shot opportunities without the marksman in the mix. Having combined for 16 made triples in his last four games, Bertans is a must-roster season-long entity in category formats, with the full expectation that he'll be ready to go Monday against Utah.--Jesse Borek
