4 years agoWashington Wizards forward Davis Bertans says he will not play when the NBA returns in late July. His inactivity is to protect his health as he enters free agency this summer. Bertans has two ACL tears already in his past and the threat of injury is higher after months of inactivity. The Wizards don't have much of a shot at the championship anyway, so it's not surprising to see Bertans sitting out. The Wizards view re-signing Bertans as a top priority this offseason. Rui Hachimura could see more scoring chances with Bertans sitting out.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
