3 years agoBrooklyn Nets center Day'Ron Sharpe (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Nuggets due to an illness. Sharpe's absence severely hampers the Brooklyn frontcourt in its effort to slow Nikola Jokic, with LaMarcus Aldridge, Blake Griffin, and James Johnson all in line to see significant minutes increases. Sharpe started each of the Nets' past eight outings, including getting the start over Nicolas Claxton upon his return to action Tuesday; in that span, Sharpe averaged 9.8 points and 7.8 rebounds despite playing fewer than 20 minutes on a nightly basis. His next chance to take the floor comes Saturday against Golden State.--Jesse Borek
