6 years agoPhoenix Suns rookie center Deandre Ayton made his NBA debut in Wednesday's win over the Dallas Mavericks and contributed greatly for the Suns. Ayton scored 18 points on an efficient 8-for-11 shooting night and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. He had six assists as well and thoroughly outplayed Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic. There have been questions about Ayton defensively at the next level, and while his one steal and one block aren't definitive answers to those questions, he looks like he's ready to at least he a solid fantasy contributor. He gets a plus matchup against the Nuggets on Saturday, a team that has struggled defensively over the past few seasons.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
