4 years agoAtlanta Hawks forward De'Andre Hunter scored a season-high 23 points in Friday night's win over the Brooklyn Nets. Hunter shot a robust 9-for-10 from the field and added six rebounds and three three-pointers in 31 minutes. The box score won't show it, but Hunter was relentless on defense, limiting Kyrie Irving to 6-for-21 shooting on the night. With the additions of Danilo Gallinari and Bogdan Bogdanovic, Hunter was expected to take a back seat. However, he has proven to be a key part of the starting lineup and continues to improve. The lack of defensive stats limits his upside, but Hunter is shaping up to have late-round value this season.
