Dejounte Murray Just Misses a Double-Double In Tough Loss
7 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point guard Dejounte Murray had a solid game on Sunday against the Bucks, finishing with 10 points and nine rebounds, but he was also the villain in the 106-103 loss, as he bricked a late three-point try to tie it up. Murray ended up getting another hairdryer treatment from coach Pop following the missed shot, which was his only attempted trey of the game. He's averaged just 0.4 attempts for the season, so he's not a sharpshooter and that's what ticked Pop off. It likely won't lead to any negative effects though, as the team trusts Murray as the starting point guard, although his numbers have fallen quite a bit since his meteoric rise. He's gotten just 9.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game this month.
