6 years agoTexas Rangers center fielder Delino DeShields appears to have avoided any serious injury to his head or neck Wednesday. DeShields was removed from the game after falling awkwardly when trying to avoid a collision with Joey Gallo. DeShields will now get a day off before the Rangers open their series with the Baltimore Orioles on Friday. The center fielder has struggled somewhat this season, and has just a .212 batting average. The majority of DeShields fantasy value is tied up in his speed, but his inability to hit consistently means he currently only has 16 steals on the season. DeShields is still worth stashing because if he gets hot with the bat there is every chance he can still steal 50 bases this season.--Ben Rolfe
