Delino DeShields Placed On 7-Day DL
6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields has been placed on the 7-Day disabled list with post-concussion syndrome. DeShields was scratched from Fridays lineup with headaches. This is the first time DeShields has suffered from headaches since he injured his head and neck July 11 against the Red Sox. It has been a tough year for DeShields, who has hit .208 in the majors. On the positive side DeShields has 18 stolen bases this year. However, with the Rangers struggling this season, and Carlos Tocci available to man center field, expect the Rangers to be extremely cautious with DeShields until they are confident he is back to full health.
