6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields will get the start in center field on Thursday. DeShields is looking to wrestle the starting job off Carlos Tocci, who has had it since DeShields was demoted to Triple-A last Tuesday. DeShields, who is hitting a lowly .207 this season, has registered just two hits in eight plate appearances since returning to the majors. DeShields is going to have to start hitting consistently if he wants his starting job back. For fantasy owners, DeShields value is tied up in his ability to steal bases. However, if he does not start it will be extremely hard for him to be a reliable source of steals in the remainder of 2018.--Ben Rolfe
