Delon Wright Delivers First Career Triple-Double
6 years agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard Delon Wright had a career night during Friday’s win over the Dallas Mavericks, collecting his first NBA triple-double with 26 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds, setting new career highs in scoring and dimes while doing so. In the starting five in place of the injured Mike Conley, Wright saw 39 minutes of action, shooting 10-for-19 from the floor. Wright has been a must-own commodity when starting this season, as he has delivered averages of 14 points, 6.8 assists and 6.3 rebounds in his 10 starts, as opposed to 7.5 points, 2.5 assists and 2.7 rebounds when coming off the bench. He’ll run it back against Dallas on Sunday, in line for another hefty workload should Conley remain absent.
