DeMar DeRozan Drops 26 Points To Continue Scoring Run
5 years agoSan Antonio Spurs shooting guard/small forward DeMar DeRozan logged 26 points on 11-for-23 shooting during Monday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. His shot attempt total marks his highest effort since Jan. 2, as he has now reached the 20-point plateau in six of his last seven games, averaging 26.9 points per contest in that span. He continued to be more than a one-category pony Monday, pitching in five rebounds, two assists and two steals as he remains a viable stat sheet stuffer on a nightly basis. He next suits up Tuesday against the Lakers, which indicates a tough matchup on paper, but could work in his favor, as he has averaged 20.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists in the five games that he has played with zero days rest this season.
