6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs shooting guard/small forward DeMar DeRozan got to the free-throw line early and often during Tuesday’s win over the Atlanta Hawks, ultimately finishing 15-for-16 from the charity stripe, setting a new season high in makes. It was another dominating performance from DeRozan, who finished with 29 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals. He opened April with a 7-for-11 performance from the floor on the heels of having shot 51.7 percent in March. DeRozan has averaged 23 points per game against his upcoming opponent, the Denver Nuggets, whom he faces Wednesday on the team’s final back-to-back of the year.--Jesse Borek
