DeMar DeRozan's First-Round DFS Preview
7 years agoToronto Raptors shooting guard DeMar DeRozan had a strong regular season for the Raptors, scoring 23 points per game on 45.6 percent shooting. He averaged the highest three-point attempts per game of his career with 3.6 attempts from deep per game on his second highest shooting percentage from three. His numbers against first-round opponent Washington this season are interesting, as DeRozan was the key offensive option for Toronto in those games, averaging 26.3 points per game. The problem? DeRozan shot just 11.8 percent from deep across those four meetings. The Wizards allowed the fifth lowest three-point shooting percentage in the league this season but the eighth highest shooting percentage on two-point shots. That could be right up DeRozan's alley in this series. Look for him to abandon his outside game and focus on getting to the basket.
