DeMarcus Cousins Agrees To Deal With Golden State
6 years agoFormer New Orleans Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) has agreed to a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors. Cousins will likely miss the first few months of the season, but the four-time All-Star is coming off a strong pre-injury campaign in New Orleans in which he averaged 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds in 48 games. While the Warriors give Cousins the best chance to win a championship, the move tanks his fantasy value. With the injury and his position as the fourth or fifth option on the Warriors, don't expect Cousins to approach the impressive fantasy numbers that he's put up in the past. He can still be valuable if he recovers well from the injury, but to expect him to be a top-10 fantasy center when he returns feels overly optimistic.
