DeMarcus Cousins Scores Season-High 22 Points Monday

5 years agoGolden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins continues to impress coming off a scary Achilles injury. Cousins scored 22 points on 7-for-12 shooting in 25 minutes Monday night in a blowout win against the Indiana Pacers. Cousins also contributed six rebounds, four assists and a three-pointer in the contest. Cousins is slowly ramping up his minutes as he returns to game shape, but it's safe to say he has exceeded expectations already. An Achilles injury has ruined a ton of player careers, but it appears Cousins is coming along quite nicely. It's possible Cousins is rested down the stretch and remain in a minutes restriction, but he has been worth the wait so far and should only improve with time.--Dale Johnson - RotoBaller
