Dennis Smith Jr. Breaks Out Of Slump Against Former Team
5 years agoAfter three early duds and a leave of absence, New York Knicks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. put forth his best performance of the young season, helping the Knicks to a win with 13 points, eight assists and six rebounds. DSJ was no doubt looking to enact some revenge against the team that traded him last season and was hoping to establish a rhythm after a slow start. Unfortunately, New York doesn't play the Mavs again this season and the Knicks are still in all sorts of disarray. Consistency has long been the key with Smith, and until he can replicate this outing over an extended stretch, it's hard to justify using any roster spot on him.
