Dennis Smith Jr. Breaks Out With a 25-Point Game
7 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. finally had a good shooting day in Friday's loss to Chicago, as he scored an efficient 25 points. Smith Jr., who hadn't shot 50 percent for well over a month, went 9-for-17 from the floor, including 2-for-3 from deep. His stat sheet was pretty empty otherwise, but it was good to see him finally making buckets on a consistent basis. He's a great source for points once he gets going, as he leads the Mavs with a 28.4 percent usage rate. Smith Jr. gets the New Orleans Pelicans next on Sunday and he has a decent matchup against Jrue Holiday.
