Dennis Smith Jr. Records 17 Points Despite Shooting Woes
7 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr., who has struggled with his shot lately, couldn't get out of his funk against the Phoenix Suns either, going 5-for-15 from the floor and missing three of his four triples. He still finished as the team's leading scorer, ending the night with 17 points, four rebounds and six assists. However, he should be scoring a lot more considering the chances that he has been getting, as he has averaged over 15 field goal attempts per game in January but shot just 40 percent, with that percentage dipping to 33.3 percent in his last five outings.
