6 years agoUnsurprisingly, Dallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. will not suit up for Wednesday’s game versus the San Antonio Spurs due to an illness. Despite having been logged as questionable up until an hour before tip, Smith Jr. never really seemed in line to play as rumors continue to swirl about the team’s desire to trade the second-year point man. Owners can expect Luka Doncic to continue starting at the point guard spot, while Jalen Brunson appears set to get a hefty share of run as well. Smith Jr.’s next chance at playing for Dallas comes Saturday against Indiana.--Jesse Borek
