2 years agoThe Denver Nuggets drafted shooting guard Christian Braun with the 21st overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Head coach Michael Malone reiterated Wednesday that he believes Braun could crack the team's rotation during the upcoming year, saying per Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports, "I love his maturity. I love his IQ." The Nuggets will have a somewhat new-look backcourt to begin the year, with Jamal Murray expected to return and hold down the point guard position after a year out. Behind him, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith join a group that is down Will Barton and Monte Morris. Last season at Kansas, the 6-foot-7 Braun averaged 14.1 points and 6.5 boards per game, all while shooting 49.5 percent overall.--Jesse Borek
