3 years agoDenver Nuggets shooting guard Will Barton (back) has been listed as doubtful to suit up for Thursday's contest against Philadelphia, but it comes with a caveat. After having been probable to play earlier Wednesday, head coach Michael Malone reiterated later in the day that "[Barton] looked good" during the practice work that he did. Back pain has cost Barton each of Denver's two previous contests, paving the way for Austin Rivers to step into the starting five. Rivers would retain DFS appeal should Barton be unable to take the floor, but it's certainly a situation worth monitoring Thursday, which marks the first day of a back-to-back for the Nuggets.--Jesse Borek
