5 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans power forward/center Derrick Favors bounced back after a sub-par opening night of six points and seven rebounds to score 15 points to go along with seven rebounds in the loss on Friday. Favors did play just 22 minutes but was a tied starter's best minus-2 while he was on the floor. Favors is still working his way into better shape after missing some preseason games due to a hamstring injury. Owners need to be a bit patient with Favors as he has top-60 potential written all over him this season.--Gianni Costantiello
