5 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward/center Derrick Favors (knee) has been ruled out Monday night against the Golden State Warriors. This was a surprise as there were no injury designations before being ruled out. However, the Pelicans PR team is calling this "knee soreness". Hopefully this is not serious, but given the injury history of Favors, owners have a right to worry. In the absence of Favors, Jahlil Okafor will start while Nicolo Melli will be in line for extra minutes off the bench. If Favors misses an extended amount of time, Okafor is the better option overall while Melli would be a three-point streamer.--Dale Johnson - RotoBaller
