5 years agoMiami Heat small/power forward Derrick Jones Jr. departed Saturday’s contest against the Milwaukee Bucks early due to a left groin strain. The severity of the injury has put his status for Sunday against the Minnesota Timberwolves in doubt. Jones was instant offense off the bench for Miami on Saturday, compiling 14 points on 5-for-6 shooting across 16 minutes. Duncan Robinson would figure to benefit should Jones be held out Sunday, although the team is likely to reallocate Jones’ minutes towards the traditional rotation of players.--Jesse Borek
