Derrick Jones Jr. Will Miss 4-6 Weeks With Knee Injury
3 years agoChicago Bulls center Derrick Jones Jr. (knee) will miss at least the next four to six weeks of action after sustaining a bone bruise in his right knee during Wednesday's loss to the Nets. Jones, who started the past six games for the Bulls, has failed to log consistent enough minutes to emerge as a season-long fantasy asset, with his absence further testing the team's frontcourt depth. Troy Brown Jr., Alfonzo McKinnie and Marko Simonovic are all candidates to log more minutes without Jones in the mix, although none of the trio stands to emerge as a option in most leagues. Despite shooting a career-best 58.2 percent overall, Jones and his 6.3 point-per-game average can be dropped to the waiver wire in all formats as he heals up.
