Derrick Rose To Remain Out For Thursday’s Game
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point/shooting guard Derrick Rose will miss his fifth straight game Thursday against the Charlotte Hornets due to right elbow soreness. Like fellow backcourt mate Jeff Teague, there have been no signs that Rose is nearing a return, which paves the way for Tyus Jones to continue seeing hefty minutes at the point guard slot. While Rose has averaged 18 points per game this season and dazzled on occasion, his hopes for NBA Sixth Man of the Year have dwindled, having appeared in just 51 games this year. His next chance to take the floor comes Saturday versus the Memphis Grizzlies.
