Derrick White Leads Spurs In Scoring For Second Straight Night
6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point guard Derrick White has had a tremendous start the the 2018 NBA Summer League. White scored 21 points on 7-for-15 shooting Tuesday and included nine assists, six rebounds, two steals, two blocks and two three-pointers. It's a small two-game sample size, but White is now averaging 21.5 points, 7.5 assists and 6.5 rebounds per game this Summer League. White was able to get NBA experience last season, appearing in 17 games with the Spurs and playing an average of 8.2 minutes per game. With Spurs legend Tony Parker nearing the end of his career, these performances will help White's case to become the immediate backup to emerging point guard Dejounte Murray.
