4 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point/shooting guard Derrick White (toe) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against Golden State even before Monday's contest. Head coach Gregg Popovich noted Monday that White has not yet been cleared to play in both legs of back-to-backs as he works his way into the mix after toe surgery. White has seen an increased offensive role (11 shots per game) to begin his fourth season, which has been hampered by toe injuries to this point. It doesn't sound as if White will be cleared for back-to-backs anytime soon, which could cut into his season-long intrigue, particularly in overall points formats. He should be cleared to suit up Friday versus the Hawks.--Jesse Borek
