4 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point/shooting guard Derrick White (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's contest against the Heat after having sprained his right ankle during Monday's outing. After having been snake bitten by injuries to begin the year, White had played in each of the Spurs' past 28 games; his absence paves the way for more minutes and shot opportunities for both Lonnie Walker IV and Patty Mills. White had begun to percolate from the field as of late, averaging 18.1 PPG over his last eight contests. San Antonio did not provide a timeline for when he could return to action, so managers will want to check back ahead of Friday's outing versus Boston.--Jesse Borek
