4 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point/shooting guard Derrick White returns to the lineup Friday against Atlanta and will get his spot in the starting five back. White was absent from Tuesday's contest due to rest purposes, as he has not yet been cleared for both ends of back-to-backs. Despite his role in the starting unit, White is coming off a rough 1-for-11 shooting performance Monday, making him something of a risky season-long asset in category formats where field-goal percentage is counted. While he is yet to hit the 30-minute mark in an outing this season, White has taken double-digit shot attempts in each of his first five games back, an indication of the upside that he possesses no matter if he starts or not.--Jesse Borek
