Devin Booker Ties Season High By Going 15 Of 16 From Free throw Line
6 years agoPhoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker topped the 30-point mark for the third time in the past six outings as he compiled 35 points along with four rebounds and two assists in Friday's loss to the Nuggets. The 29-year-old was 9-for-19 from the field, 2-for-4 from the three-point line and 15-for-16 from the free throw line. The 15 free throw makes tied a season-best mark. While Booker has been shooting the ball well overall in this month, he has struggled from beyond the arc and contributing in other categories, particularly on the defensive end. The fourth-year pro is making a season-low 1.4 triples as he is attempting the fewest shots from beyond the arc this month (4.9). Booker is also averaging just 2.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 0.1 blocks, and 0.2 steals in January, which is his lowest totals this year. The Kentucky product, who has registered a steal or block in just two of his 10 appearances this month, will look to return to form in a tough matchup against the Lakers on Sunday.
