6 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman could face a tough task to put up big numbers against the Philadelphia Eagles in the season opener Thursday. Last season the Eagles were the second best defensive against running backs for fantasy points allowed, allowing an average of just 16.61. In addition, the Eagles allowed just 0.4 rushing touchdowns per game to running backs. If Freeman struggles to get in the end zone he will need to rely on his ability to gain yards in the air as well as on the ground if he is to have a good outing. Right now Freeman is closer to the bottom end of the number two running backs in week one than he is to being one of the number ones.--Ben Rolfe
