6 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman was sidelined with a knee injury in the fourth quarter of the Falcons opening game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Freeman did not head inside, instead remaining on the sideline pacing about and seeming to test his knee. However, it was noted that he was not carrying his helmet, meaning that the Falcons medical staff did not feel comfortable in letting him return. At this stage, with 10-days before the game, it would appear that Freeman would be available to face the Panthers. However, he is someone to keep an eye on over the next few days to see if more information comes to light or he struggles in practice at all.--Ben Rolfe
