Dewayne Dedmon Compiles Double-Double In Rare Start
5 years agoSacramento Kings center Dewayne Dedmon entered the starting five for the first time since Oct. 28 during Wednesday’s loss to the Detroit Pistons and promptly notched his second double-double of the season. With Marvin Bagley unavailable, Dedmon took on a prominent role down low, collecting 13 points on 6-for-13 shooting, while adding in a team-high 10 rebounds. His role is likely to be reduced once Bagley returns, but Sacramento could also have used the contest as a showcase ahead of the Trade Deadline. The Bulls, whom the Kings face Friday, have struggled mightily to slow opposing centers this year, which could make Dedmon a solid low-priced DFS option if Bagley remains out of the mix.
