6 years agoMiami Heat shooting guard Dion Waiters has been given the thumbs up to dress for Wednesday’s contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Waiters has not checked into an NBA game since Dec. 22, 2017, as he recovered from an ankle surgery. He joins a crowded Heat backcourt, although Goran Dragic remains on the shelf for the time being and Dwyane Wade has been ruled out Wednesday, which could create an opportunity for Waiters to suit up. Owners will certainly want to monitor Waiters’ workload before adding him in season-long formats, but the seventh-year guard has averaged 15.2 points per game in his career with Miami.--Jesse Borek
