6 years agoDallas Maverick forward Dirk Nowitzki (ankle) will not play in the Mavericks season opener. This was expected after Nowitzki had a setback in late September. Head coach Rick Carlisle said Nowitzki would likely be out weeks instead of days. DeAndre Jordan is going to start, so Nowitzki will be playing off the bench. Nowitzki has lost most of his fantasy value since he's taking on a bench role this season.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
