Donovan Mitchell Drains Season-High Five Three-Pointers
6 years agoUtah Jazz point guard/shooting guard Donovan Mitchell poured in 28 points on 10 of 21 shooting from the field and five of 12 from beyond the arc in Saturday night's win over the Celtics. The five triples are a season-high, and the game marked the eighth time that the second-year pro has made at least that many trifectas in his young career. He also contributed three rebounds, six assists, one block as well as three steals in 36 minutes. The 6-foot-3 combo guard has struggled mightily with his shot since the calendar turned to November as he is shooting only 37.9 percent from the field and 22.4 percent from beyond the arc over his seven appearances. The game against the Celtics marked just the second time this month that the former Louisville star has made at least 45 percent of his shots. Mitchell will look to extend his double-figure scoring streak to 15 against the Pacers on Monday.
