4 years agoUtah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell has expressed interest in sitting out for the rest of the 2019-2020 season. It appears Mitchell does not seem too excited about playing when the NBA returns in July, but mentioned he's willing to play. Other players such as Kyrie Irving, Dwight Howard, and Carmelo Anthony have voiced similar opinions about the upcoming return. Mitchell has already recovered from COVID-19, but mentioned playing again this season could jeopardize his chances to get a max deal if he gets hurt. Having Mitchell sitting out would certainly be a big blow to the team. Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert would be asked to do the heavy lifting, assuming Mitchell sits out.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
