4 years agoUtah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell made his return to action on Friday against the Bulls after missing his team's last game. Mitchell poured in 26 points with five assists, three rebounds, and two triples in 36 minutes. The star guard struggled with his shot efficiency, making 7 of 21 field goals and 2 of 9 three-pointers, though he sank all 10 free throws. Mitchell spoke about his fear of flying- and how the team's charter plane hit a flock of birds on Tuesday, causing an emergency landing and leading the guard to take a day to process the event mentally, which was why he missed Wednesday's game. Mitchell did say that he'll be good to go for his team's next road game, which will come on Monday after their Sunday contest against the Magic. Mitchell had 31 points in his lone meeting against Orlando, and has scored 25-plus in seven of his last eight games.--Tim Capurso
