7 years agoUtah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell will be leading his squad as a rookie on the offensive end in what will be an interesting battle against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Mitchell had an excellent rookie campaign leading all rookies in scoring at 20.5 points a contest and was on par with that average (20.7 points) against the Thunder in the three games he suited up in. A key point here is that all these games were before Christmas and the Thunder had elite defender Andre Roberson taking on the rookie, with Roberson out, we may see a combination of Corey Brewer, Russell Westbrook and even see some length with Paul George taking on the rookie at the defensive end. Mitchell should be in for a big series as he will want to prove doubters wrong that he should have had the ROY nod.--Gianni Costantiello
