7 years agoThe Dallas Mavericks have acquired small forward Doug McDermott from the New York Knicks in a trade that sends Devin Harris to the Nuggets. McDermott will likely back up Harrison Barnes and Dirk Nowitzki as a small forward and stretch power forward. There's potential for McDermott to perform well on a struggling Mavericks team, but he likely won't see the floor enough to be much more than a decent source of three-pointers in deeper formats. The trade could have long-term ramifications, though, if the Mavericks decide McDermott could carve out a place in the starting lineup once Dirk is gone.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
