3 years agoSan Antonio Spurs small forward Doug McDermott has cleared the league's health and safety protocols and will suit up for Friday's contest against Cleveland. McDermott missed seven games under the protocols, with his return likely to bump Keita Bates-Diop to the second unit, thereby zapping him of DFS appeal. McDermott enjoyed solid production during December, averaging 12.3 points per contest despite playing less than 24 minutes on a nightly basis. His minutes figure to be capped out of the gates due to the two-week layoff, but his 41 percent marksmanship from long range may persuade fantasy managers to fire him up in season-long formats from the get-go.--Jesse Borek
