Dragan Bender Posts Second Straight Double-Double
6 years agoPhoenix Suns power forward/center Dragan Bender scored a season-high 13 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the floor, 1-for-4 from the three-point line, and 2-for-5 from the free throw line in Tuesday's loss to the Timberwolves. The 21-year-old Croatian grabbed 10 rebounds and added two assists in 30 minutes. It was his second straight double-double. The third-year pro, who has only appeared in 16 games this season, has started the last two games as Deandre Ayton (ankle) and Richaun Holmes (foot) are dealing with injuries. Bender may earn another start against the Trail Blazers on Thursday, and if he does he would be a cheap DFS or streaming option. More importantly, if he can continue to produce like this, he may find his way into the team's regular rotation.
