3 years agoThe Chicago Cubs placed starting pitcher Drew Smyly (oblique) on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday due to a right oblique strain. The 32-year-old suffered the injury during his start on Monday and had to be removed from the game. His timeline isn't clear at this point, but he'll at least miss his next three turns in the rotation. Through nine starts this year, the left-hander has gone 2-5 with a 3.80 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
